Course Overview
Course Content
An introduction to crafting. Getting creative and learning new creative skills that are transferable for business and retail enterprise or simply to enjoy as a hobby.
The introduction to crafting will give the basics of using a variety of techniques and resources including:
Decoupage
Glass Painting
Clay Gonks
Wreaths/table centre
Each activity will demonstrate the variety of techniques that can be adapted and transferred to various other elements, materials and products. You will have the opportunity to experiment with your own ideas and inspirational flair as you learn the basic skills.
Some of the personal and employability skills that can be developed include:
Self-expression and managing feelings. As with all creative pursuits, arts and crafts activities are a fantastic creative outlet.
Improves confidence and self-esteem.
Fine motor skills.
Patience.
Concentration.
Planning and foresight.
Organisational skills.
Health & safety.
